Joe Laque is an executive leader focused on growing mission-driven organizations through strategic planning, operational leadership, and community partnerships. He currently serves as Executive Director of John B. Parsons Assisted Living, a 49-bed assisted living and memory care community within the Harrison Senior Living network, where he oversees operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives that support person-centered care. Joe holds certifications as a QAPI Certified Professional (QCP) and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).
Previously, Joe spent nearly a decade in nonprofit leadership, including serving as Executive Director of Horizons Delmarva, where he expanded the program regionally and strengthened funding to increase opportunities for underserved students. Earlier roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the National Park Service shaped his expertise in marketing, fundraising, and public engagement.

Serving in a part-time Executive Director role alongside his full-time leadership at Horizons Delmarva, Joe Laque led strategic initiatives to increase and stabilize revenue, strengthen membership engagement, and expand community partnerships. His efforts elevated the organization’s financial sustainability to the point of supporting its first-ever full-time Executive Director, after which Joe transitioned to continue serving on the Board of Directors, ensuring ongoing strategic guidance and continuity.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida and Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana are mission-driven organizations dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that empower youth to reach their full potential. Across both organizations, Joe Laque led marketing, donor development, and community engagement efforts that significantly expanded visibility and financial support. He drove measurable growth through strategic fundraising campaigns and partnerships; generating substantial new revenue, increasing engagement across digital platforms, and executing high-impact events, including collaborations with organizations such as the Orlando Magic and Fun Spot America. His work contributed to significant revenue growth, including a nearly 50% increase in annual funding in South Central Indiana, while strengthening each organization’s capacity to serve more youth and advance their mission.
Assateague Island National Seashore, part of the National Park Service, is dedicated to preserving natural resources while providing meaningful educational and recreational experiences for visitors. During his tenure, Joe Laque served in multiple roles of increasing responsibility, including Visitor Use Assistant, Interim Park Revenue Remitter, and Digital Media Specialist/Interpretive Ranger. Across these roles, he led initiatives that enhanced visitor engagement, modernized operations, and improved revenue tracking and accountability. He developed and produced high-quality digital media, including the film Saving Assateague, and spearheaded upgrades to the visitor center’s theater, implementing a fully automated, ADA-compliant multimedia system. Joe also created and led a high school internship program focused on digital media and interpretation, expanding community involvement and educational impact. His work strengthened both the visitor experience and operational efficiency, aligning with the Park Service’s mission to protect and share one of the region’s most unique coastal ecosystems.
